A variation on an EWI detail for periscopic ventilation to a below ground cellar, with a recessed plinth, where EWI stops at ground level over a drainage layer. Applicable where EWI installed to a recessed plinth around external perimeter of building.

Technical description

Section detail. EWI to below ground at building perimeter

- Junction of woodfibre to below EWI: 400 - 200mm external perimeter insulation suitable for below ground use + drainage layer

- Persicopic ventilation to ventilate below ground cellar/basement. Taped and sealed.

- For use with internal suspended timber floor.
