Insulated plasterboard fitted to the underside of existing ceiling rafters. For use where roof void is well ventilated or has breathable membrane and where existing ceiling is to be retained.

Technical description

Section detail. Roof insulation to existing room-in-roof with non-permeable membrane to roof.

Removal of existing ceiling and finishes (set aside for re-use), remove existing light fittings and set aside for re-use. Remove any existing timber mouldings. Check roofing membrane before installation of insulation.

  • Kooltherm® K18 Insulated Plasterboard

    Phenolic foam backed plasterboard, Integral Vapour Control Layer- ensure all joints between sheets detailed and taped to minimise vapour transmission using vapour-tight tape. \ Thickness 100mm with 12.5mm plasterboard thickness. \ Thermal conductivity: 0.020W/m2k. GWP< 5. \ Adhesive scored bonding coat to ensure no air-gap to rear of board.Joints taped and filled.

  • M20a Single Coat Board Finish Plaster

    Gysum finish plaster. Tape joints before plastering. 2-3mm thickness applied in single coat. smooth finish.
