Pre-existing door with Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIPs) retrofitted to the internal face.
Technical description
Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIPs) cladded onto the internal face of an existing door. In this instance the existing door is a steel security door however the detail can be replicated easily to suit any kind of door. The panels are protected by a 9mm ply wood sheet and to give a fixing point a perimeter for compact foam is installed between the ply and the existing door.
